- Offensive Content
Any material posted on Miscrits.com's site, forums or message boards that is profane, vulgar or pornographic in nature will be immediately removed and the poster's account will be punished according to the severity of the violation. This includes, but is not limited to: racial or orientation-related slurs, vulgar or otherwise inappropriate language, depiction of sexual content or slang related to it, as well as any images, videos or links that violate these conditions.
- Harassment/Insults
Any communication that can be construed as harassment or insult towards another player is forbidden, and subject to punishment at the moderators' or administrators' discretion. This includes: name-calling, direct insults, insinuations, or insults aimed at a member's family/background/etc. Posting screenshots of defeating another player in the Battle Arena insultingly or without consent is not tolerated. This also include any joking between friends or 'playful' insults, as there is no meaningful way to distinguish this context. Dissent is fine, but it must be done without an ad-hominem attacks or it will be moderated.
You MAY NOT post, with or without permission, the personal details of anyone else on these forums, including Facebook information that is not publicly listed in their profile. Doing so will result in a direct and immediate ban or suspension. If you are reporting someone on Facebook for a violation, please PM this violation to the admins. For your own protection, you should also refrain from posting any of your own details, outside of links to your Facebook, emails or FBIDs.
This is especially true of Miscrit ideas and Contest artwork: anyone caught insulting these ideas will be subject to harsher punishments, again at the administrators' and moderators' discretion.
- Respectful Posting and Constructive Feedback
We at Broken Bulb Studios are constantly working to create new features and improve existing ones in all games in the Miscrits: World of Adventure franchise. We realize that sometimes players disagree or dislike proposed changes or feature sets. On the forums, we appreciate and welcome constructive dissent, especially in our
Feedback and Suggestions forum! It is very valuable to us to hear what our players do and do not like about our changes. HOWEVER, we require that this criticism is done respectfully (no abusive language, and posts with more than "I don't like it." as an explanation), and that posters do not spam this feedback multiple times or in multiple places. Spamming feedback multiple times or everywhere is considered also Disruptive/Noisy Content and will be punished as such.
In addition, posters on these forums must act respectfully and cooperatively with the moderators and administrators on these forums at all times. The creators of Miscrits have personally appointed these people to help keep our forums clean, our community friendly and lively, and their judgment has absolute authority. Anyone considered to be disrespecting the moderators, administrators or developers of this game and its forums will be strictly and harshly penalized. So be nice!
- Off-Topic Posting
We, the administrators and moderators of these forums, reserve the right to remove or move at any time content that does not pertain to the board it is posted on. For example, a "Rate My Miscrit's stats" topic posted outside of the "Rate My Miscrit!" subforum may be moved or deleted. A post asking players to add them on Facebook will be deleted anywhere outside of the "Need Friends?" forum. For blatant or multiple violations of forum topicality, punishments may additionally be levied at the moderator or administrator's discretion.
Topicality also applies within threads: do not hijack a thread that is about a particular subject. If you have something to discuss, you may create your own thread about it instead. Topic-hijacking posts are subject to removal and additional punishment at the judgement of the adminstrator or moderator.
- Disruptive/Noisy Content
Any and all posts that are disruptive to members' message board experience may be removed or changed at any time. Members who post multiple or blatant disruptive posts are subject to additional punitive measures as well, at the judgement of the moderator or administrator handling it. Disruptive/Noisy content includes, but is not limited to: intentionally hard-to-read posts, such as those made in all caps, alternating caps, "1337 speak" and so on; excessive or disruptive use of bbcode tags or images; posts intentionally written in other languages; post-counting "First!" in announcements and elsewhere; off-topic posting; necro-posting (posting in a topic that is no longer active) or "bumping" threads; large posts devoid of meaningful content.
- Cheats/Exploits
Any and all cheating in this service, the Miscrits.com website and forums, or Miscrits: World of Adventure on Facebook is expressly prohibited: this includes exploiting any deficiency in our code and design. Any players found to be cheating in the game will have their accounts terminated. If you have been banned in the game, you must follow the instructions indicated on the ban page: posting about it on the forums will result in the suspension of your forums account.
Communication of cheats or exploits, including blog posts and YouTube videos, is also prohibited and will result in the termination of your account. Exploits may be indicated to an administrator through PMs, but should not be posted for public abuse.
- Spam and Advertising
Any form of advertising on our forums is also expressly forbidden. This includes: advertising and promoting any other games on or off of Facebook, utilizing posts or accounts for direct monetization or self-promotion, posts created solely to promote links and invitations to outside Facebook-related services (4loot, etc.). Generally speaking, linking to a 4loot account or a personal website is okay; making unsolicited posts and topics about it is not. If a moderator or administrator deems your signature to be violating these terms you are required to change it at risk of harsher punishment.
Spam, manual or bot-generated, is not tolerated under any circumstances. Accounts found to be spamming on our forums will be banned immediately.
- Original Content and Copyrights
In the case of new Miscrit ideas and Player-Inspired Miscrit Contest entries, all art and ideas must be completely original. If a member is caught plagiarizing someone else's ideas or artwork, including artwork or ideas from another company's intellectual property, they will be banned or suspended depending upon the severity of the plagiarism.
For the Player-Inspired Miscrits Contest, additional rules apply about using and crediting source images in the public domain. If a contest entry is found to be violating these rules, the entry will be immediately disqualified and the entrant will be punished according to the violation. For more details on using images from the public domain and how to properly credit them, see
this guide on the Contest forums.
